Anaphylaxis Training Courses
This course is available at your location for groups of up to 12 delegates or at open course centres across the UK.
Anaphylaxis is the most severe form of allergic reaction. Common causes are insect stings, foods and some medication. It is life threatening and requires immediate first aid (an auto-injector) and emergency medical assistance.
Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) can kill without immediate first aid and allergies affect approximately one in three of the UK population with as many as half of those affected being children.
The likelihood is that someone in your organisation/company/school could have a severe allergy and this must form part of your first aid needs assessment.
The training lasts 3 hours and the class will be continually assessed via continuous observation by the trainer.Course Content:
- Prevention, recognition and treatment of severe allergic reaction
- Use of auto-injectors and CPR
- Understanding and recognising allergic reaction
- Resuscitation (CPR all ages)
- Communication and casualty care
- Unconscious casualty treatment
